CRAFTURE is Official—I Filed the LLC

I did it.

I filed the LLC paperwork.

CRAFTURE is now a real legal entity. Not just an idea. Not just a dream. An actual business.

Why I Needed an LLC

I could've just started selling stuff under my own name. Lots of people do that.

But I wanted protection. Legal separation between my personal finances and the business. Tax benefits. Legitimacy.

An LLC gives me all of that.

I was worried it would be complicated. Lots of paperwork. Lots of legal jargon.

It wasn't.

I went online, filled out a form, paid $150, and submitted it to the state.

Two weeks later, I got the confirmation. CRAFTURE LLC is official.

It's not glamorous. But it's important.

Now that the LLC is official, I'm:

Opening a business bank account. I'm keeping business money separate from personal money. It makes accounting way easier.

Getting an EIN. This is my business's tax ID. I need it for the bank account and for taxes.

Setting up basic accounting. I'm using a simple spreadsheet to track income and expenses. I'll upgrade to accounting software later if needed.

Finishing the website. The Shopify site is almost done. I'm writing product descriptions, uploading photos, setting up payment processing.

Filing the LLC was a psychological turning point for me.

Before, CRAFTURE was a side project. Something I was thinking about. Something I might do.

Now, it's real. It's official. I'm committed.

My wife noticed the difference too. She said, "Now you're actually doing this."

Yeah. I am.

In a few weeks, deposits open for the Creat Lumos. I'm placing one.

Then I'm waiting for summer to arrive and the machine to ship.

CRAFTURE is becoming real.
