The Deposit is Placed—Waiting for Summer (June 2025)

It's official.

I placed a deposit on the Creat Lumos.

$500 down. The machine ships in July or August. And I'm... nervous? Excited? Both?

Why I Chose the Creat Lumos

After months of research, this was the right call.

The specs are solid. The company is responsive. The community around it is growing. And most importantly—people who've tested early versions are saying good things.

Is it guaranteed to be perfect? No. But it's the best bet I have.

The Deposit Process

I went to the Creat website. Filled out the order form. Entered my payment info.

$500 charged to my card.

Confirmation email arrived instantly.

That's it. Now I wait.

What I'm Expecting

The company says the machine will ship in July or August. So somewhere between now and the end of summer, a box with a $2,000+ laser engraver will arrive at my house.

I'm nervous about that, honestly. That's a lot of money sitting in a box on my porch.

But I'm also excited. Because once it arrives, CRAFTURE really starts.

What I'm Doing While I Wait

I'm not sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

Finishing the website. The Shopify site is almost live. I'm uploading product photos, writing descriptions, setting up payment processing.

Designing products. I'm creating mockups of what I want to make. Wood signs. Engraved denim. Leather goods. Slate coasters. I'm using Adobe Illustrator and AI design tools to visualize everything.

Researching suppliers. I'm finding the best places to buy materials. Wood blanks. Denim. Leather. Glass. I want to know my costs before I start producing.

Learning the software. I'm watching tutorials for the Creat Lumos software. I want to be ready to use the machine the day it arrives.

Building the brand. I'm finalizing the logo, colors, messaging. I want everything to be cohesive when I launch.

The Waiting is the Hardest Part

I've been planning this for months. I've saved the money. I've done the research. I've filed the LLC.

And now I just have to wait.

It's frustrating. But it's also good. It gives me time to prepare everything else.

By the time the Creat Lumos arrives, I'll be ready.

What's Next

I'm launching the website in July. I'm waiting for the laser to arrive. I'm preparing for the official CRAFTURE launch.

Summer 2025 is going to be a big season.
